This one-of-a-kind necklace is crafted by hand of porcelain. The textured surface of the beads is created with vintage lace. The lace is dipped into porcelain slip, which is applied to the surface of the bead. Once fired in the kiln the lace burns, leaving behind only a memory of the lace pattern, this haptic surface is then glazed with gold luster. A beautiful contrast with the white smooth surface of the porcelain beads, and a striking combination with the thread in deep red color used to string the beads together into this truly one-of-a-kind necklace.
The necklace is 15 1/2 inches long with a 14 karat gold-filled toggle clasp.
